How buyers use it
A buyer searching "best petrochemical advisory firm Qatar" on Perplexity gets a short synthesized answer plus a numbered citations list they can click through. Buyers often check those citations before they trust a claim, so being cited matters almost as much as being named.

How Awal measures it
We run the same buyer-style questions through Perplexity and read both the answer text and its citation list, checking whether your business is named in the answer and whether one of your own pages made it into the sources cited.

The honest caveat
Perplexity always cites something, even on a question where it never mentions you, so a scan can come back full of citations that are entirely your competitors. That's not a broken test. It means Perplexity found other sources before it found yours.
